Contemporary art invites visitors to the intimate exhibition rooms of the Villa dei Cedri: with an unusual tour that brings together almost a dozen young Swiss artists. The exhibition "Dimensione Disegno. Posizioni contemporanee" explores the practice of contemporary drawing, its fabric, its supports and its formats, investigates its instability and sometimes its monumentality.
With the exhibition "Dimensione Disegno. Posizioni contemporanee", the Museum becomes a space of experience. The basic means of drawing such as graphite, charcoal, ink, aquarelle are combined with photography, sculpture, arts and crafts, projection and architecture. And formats play a big role: Zilla Leutenegger transforms an apartment into a model, while Didier Rittener's drawings literally take possession of all the walls of an exhibition hall. From room to room the spaces of the museum transform themselves and ultimately and at times ironically, they turn away from the concept of the drawing cabinet.
